| イベント詳細 | Abstract: In this talk, I will introduce a theoretical model of a multicomponent lipid monolayer in contact with an aqueous solution, based on a generalized classical density functional theory. The model accounts for the specific structure and discrete charge distribution of lipid head groups. The free-energy functional includes electrostatic interactions, while additional internal degrees of freedom are described through positional and orientational entropic contributions. Applying the calculus of variations, we derive the corresponding Euler–Lagrange equations, which are solved numerically using the finite element method. The resulting equilibrium free energy between lipid layers is calculated and analyzed, with particular attention to the effects of lipid composition and molecular interactions. The theoretical predictions are compared with experiments and simulation results. Finally, possible extensions of the model for future work are discussed. |
