大学院理学府 物理学専攻 修士課程 2 年の柏原 智香さんが日本生物物理学会「第 8 回学生発表賞」を受賞しました。この賞は、日本生物物理学会の年会において優秀な発表を行った学生会員を表彰するために設立されました。2023 年度に開催された第 61 回日本生物物理学会年会においては学生発表賞の審査は応募書類と英語口頭発表を基にして行われました。

アクティブ細胞骨格系における状態転移と非平衡収縮ダイナミクス
Actomyosin contraction plays an important role in cellular functions such as cell division and cell migration. We have reported that cytoplasmic extract confined in cell-sized droplets induces wave-like contraction of actomyosin networks, but its mechanism is not fully understood. To address this issue, we study the fluctuation of actomyosin contraction in bulk by using particle tracking analysis. Mean-squared displacement of tracer particles exhibits anomalous scaling that crosses over from diffusion to ballistic motion. Furthermore, chemical perturbation with cross-linker proteins alters this cross-over timescale, which highlights that the actomyosin networks can induce persistent and periodic force generation through active gelation.
